• Build stronger community partnerships to enhance resources and opportunities for students.

• Advocate for initiatives that equip parents to support their children’s transition to college or careers.

• Work to increase access to BA degrees at local colleges, reducing barriers for students.

• Support and expand vocational training for police, firefighters, and nurses at Santa Ana College, ensuring resource availability.

Promoting Teamwork for Student Success:

I will foster a culture of collaboration where students, faculty, parents, and community partners work together to support student success. I will advocate for stronger oversight and transparency, ensuring that past and present faculty are treated fairly and maintaining open lines of communication to uphold trust and collaboration.

Expanding Parental Involvement in High Schools:

I will advocate for increased parent engagement in high schools, particularly in supporting their children’s transition to college or vocational training, so that families are better equipped to navigate the educational pathways available to them.

Expanding Degree Programs:

I will work to increase access to BA degrees at Santa Ana College in fields such as Occupational Health, Paralegal, and Automotive Technologies, while advocating for similar programs at Santiago Canyon College. This will allow students to earn their degrees locally, reducing the barriers they face when transferring to four-year universities.

Strengthening Vocational Programs:

I will support and expand programs like those for police officers, firefighters, and nurses at Santa Ana College to ensure they receive the resources necessary to continue producing highly skilled professionals who serve our community.

Building Stronger Community Partnerships:

I will work to strengthen collaborations between the district and local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to create more opportunities for students. By building these partnerships, we can provide internships, mentorships, and real-world learning experiences that connect students with their community and enhance their career readiness.
